We will discuss the golden age of alchemy in Bohemia during the reign of Rudolf II with particular focus on the laboratories of Vílem Of Rožmberk in Třeboň. This rich world of patronage allowed for exploration in the fields of mining, medicine, and metallurgy for both worldly and spiritual gains. These men and women found resources and relative safety as they tried to grasp all of the knowable aspects of the divine.
